Name your preference or
manufacturer for your small power boat.
Hotdog Powerboats are capable of handling
up to 25hp. Common installations would include
15-18hp four-strokes and upwards to 25hp
two-strokes. All engines on our small power
boats are mounted on jack plates, either
adjustable or fixed.
Speed you ask? With our
all new bottom pad design, customers have
reported top speeds of 39+ MPH on GPS. But—this
could be going downhill with one adult onboard
who didn’t eat breakfast or lunch that
day. Realistically, the Hotdog Powerboat
is typically topping out around 33 to 36
MPH depending on the weight onboard. Remember
these are are slim and small power boats,
which makes them weight sensitive. The more
weight, the slower you go. The lighter, the
faster you go. It’s as simple as that.
More Power? Sorry. Remember
these are FUN novelty boats. We are not selling
Tomahawk Missiles here. And, even though
these small power boats resemble the go-fast
cigarette power boats you see on the water,
they are not designed for top speed performance.
Because we care of the safety of our customers
and surrounding boaters on the water, Hotdog
Powerboats caps the horsepower to 25hp. Plus,
the Coast Guard won’t let us put more.
Believe us, it’s
more than enough. You’ll love it.
Got
your own engine? Cool. We can build you a
small power boat less engine and controls.
No problem. Better yet…send us the
engine, and we’ll rig it and set it
up for you. We’ll work with you and
discuss set up and rigging specifics to meet
your needs.
